Purpose
To advance music and music education through performance, discussion, investigation, and publication. By uniting ourselves as teachers, we can improve our teaching skills and offer our students greater opportunities for enrichment and performance.
Membership
Northeast Indiana Music Teachers Association (NIMTA) is an affiliate of Indiana Music Teachers Association (IMTA) and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). Teachers must first be members of MTNA and IMTA in order to participate in the local association. Local association membership is encouraged but not required.

Dues
For the most recent dues for MTNA and IMTA, visit the MTNA Website.
Local dues can either be paid to MTNA when joining/renewing your membership or they can be paid directly to the local. NIMTA's annual dues are currently $15.
